First there was Ondoy who coated Manila with water and Mud. After some hours, Ketsana entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility and wrecked more havoc. Ten thirty morning yesterday, 150 Filipinos died in a landslide in Bengeut. What more has mother nature in store for us?

If you had been watching TV, its hard to miss the sad updates on the status of the people dislocated by the calamities. All of this had been happening in succession and I know, soon we will reach our limits. But why? Is this the wrath of the Supreme or a fraction of Global Warming?

Its both.

Months before the election is the height of political advances. Commercials blaspheming truth and fooling the Filipinos who remain blind to veritas. Politicians selling theme selves on TV or even the internet. Targeting the youth, not because they are important but because they are influential and they occupy a large slice of our population. Now that these calamities has happened, expect people in uniform t-shirts with bold prints of "Tulong ni Mr. Future President". Don't dare fall for this and watch out for future 'infomercials' with candidates crying over the great loss. Their applying for presidency, not for showbiz.

In my honest opinion, I had to be thankful for the calamities. Never have I seen great bayanihan since birth although I have to be equally sorry to those who lost people and resources. This series of unfortunate events could be remind the politicians what dis-ample stuff they done.

People around them, in general, are ass kissers. Supporting their candidate's statements, losing their own brains over pasip-sip. So before you look up the citry records for people you could blame the calamities on, think again and again. Humans are humans ,they mae]e mistakes and our politicians take advantage of their 'being a human' too much.

On global warming, our country has not taken this topic seriously. We have been living off hollow industrialization. Building and building like cornucipianists on a Christian country. We should still be thankful to mother nature for Ondoy was far from her extreme capabilities.

To my fellow countrymen, take the calamities that has passed as preludes to more. The road is getting rougher and rougher by the minute. All we can do is pray and prepare ourselves and I remind you, its possible to love a country while disagreeing with its government. Stay Filipino.
