My Condolences and Some Tips

Ex-AFP chief Reyes commits suicide
By Dennis Carcamo (The Philippine Star) Updated February 08, 2011 09:58 AM

(UPDATE) MANILA, Philippines – Former Armed Forces of the Philippines chief Angelo Reyes committed suicide this morning, shooting himself in the chest. He was 65.
......
Initial reports said Reyes shot himself using a .45 caliber pistol in front of his mother's grave at the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City. Witnesses interviewed by DZBB radio station at the cemetery said they saw Reyes send his children to his car before a single shot rang out.

Don't call him a sissy. Give him sympathy because when the media is dedicating all its manpower into chewing your honor, family or basically your whole life into pieces, suicide is the least insane you would start to think of.

But if you are suspected of stealing millions from the pockets of the poor Filipinos, please do the following before you drive yourself to the gates of heaven:

Confess before and not during or after suicide. Thats the highest form of swearing with your life plus you save yourself from speculations, name-calling and hassle. If you told everyone you were guilty, then you would die a robber but not a liar. If you told everyone you were not guilty and that is the truth, you only die because of too much prejudice from earth and that would serve heaps of konsensya to those who judged you unfairly. Let the biggest b-i-t-c-(x), karma, do its job.

P.S. Condolences to the family who lost a man. A man is such a great thing.

A Slideshow and Its Excellency, The First Website

So I finally figured out how to create my own photo slide shows using my flickr account. Below is the offspring of this new knowledge, gracefully showcasing my first few hours in Zamboanga. Enjoy the photos.

The President of the Philippines, Benigno Aquino III, put up a new website. Its the first ever time that I have seen a president so willing to embrace the power of the internet. Here is the link to the First Website.

I have foreseen that I won't be able to blog regularly in the following days because my school has this weird behavior of closing week-long vacations with a long line of project deadlines. Being inefficient, I find this very challenging. If only typing in keyboards and thinking entailed massive calorie burning, I would work for hours.

Procalamation tomorrow

Did anyone notice its been a month since the elections?

Tomorrow, June 9, 2010, Noynoy Aquino will be proclaimed as the next president. Let me hear a yahoo from all the supporters out there! I was a Noynoy supporter because I had great belief in what a household does to determine the traits of a child plus I prefer sincerity over credentials. Sitting as president, many will guide you and help you out so knowledge or experience isn't required but it takes a lot of sincerity to choose the best for the people and not only yourself.

Binay, on the other hand, has starred in many headlines concerning corruption and I am not sure about his credentials or sincerity. The advancement of Makati under his reign was only self-proclaimed and being a member of the opposite party, I guess he will try to stop some of Noynoy's projects. I hoped Mar Roxas would sit on the Vice Executive chair but 700,000+ people pushed through Binay.

But anyway, there is only one thing I can say. New leaders FTW!

Phew

the election coverage was tiring to watch.

The Philippine just underwent a historical election and it moved me. It moved me so much that I can't even find in my heart time to create another blog post. Sorry for this very shitty post but I just can't write. Even though I haven't had a contact with a PCOS machine this whole time, I still feel the sanctity of this voting thing. Although I have to note, the PCOS machine's appearance did not fail to remind me of black garbage bags. I guess they are of the same material and I'm wondering if anytime soon, I would see the big rectangular bins on sale in bargain markets. They looked very handy with laundry.

And to end a day with good music, play the video above and hear Noynoy's campaign song which musically, is a milestone.

Anyway, a new government for the win!

My Worst Case Scenario for the Philippines' 2010 elections

One very good method in facing situational problems is creating a visual of the worst case scenario. Preparing for the worst is the best way to face something bad.

This is just a speculation and there are two possibilities, this will happen or this will be crap. Gives us the Math that there is 50% chance of this actually happening. Be very scared.

May 10, 2010, 5 PM. The elections are closed. A candidate wins. Supporters are crying while the opposition is crying harder. Victory! Defeat! The Philippines is trying to prepare for the new future without Gloria on top. Everyone is tensed.

May 11, 2010 First day of the new leader. Extremely happy with his/her new literal chair. The President is supposed to sit on the most comfortable piece of furniture in the country.

May 12, 2010 The new President senses the smell of the old chair and orders for a new one. Somebody is claiming that the elections was a fraud and that more than 25% of the PCOS machines accounted errors. Everyone is in shock. The President, Senators, Party Lists, everyone who won were actually frauds. The shock didn't get a time to set in until everyone is fighting over who should be who. Confusion of self is filling the government.

May 13, 2010 The Philippines returns to stone age.

Be very scared. This seems to be a joke but every joke is half truth . Another 50% for me. Total :100%.

Be dead.

Recent Surveys on Philippine 2010 Elections (Pulse Asia)

I am extremely happy that the people surveyed by Pulse Asia, the people that can effectively represent the whole Philippine population, are geared towards change. Noynoy Aquino is leading in the surveys. The final decision will befall us in May 10 but any credible predictions are well received.

Colorful Politics

I am in favor of Noynoy so its unstoppable that I will be bias.

I just saw in the evening news that a document signed by a priest says Noynoy is a cuckoo. I'm using cuckoo as replacement for melancholia or severe depression.

  1. First things first, since when did the bible teach priests to identify depressed, mentally unhealthy people?
  2. Second, the document was handed over to a disciple of Manny Villar by some 'anonymous body'.
  3. Third, a press conference was immediately called although the verification of the document wasn't carried out.
  4. Fourth, further private investigation of a TV show proves the document was a hundred percent false.

My friends, I have just shared to you the four steps involved in telling everybody your desperate and you are a patron of black propaganda. Who wants a back-stabbing leader? I am deafened by a resounding "NO ONE". The Philippines is a poor country, we cannot afford the luxury of false documents during election season.

It took me about 15 minutes to create this photo so enjoy it. Explanation of the photo above:

The winners of this election, as I have observed in the past few elections, will be determined before May 10 by their level of fame. I bet a carabao Lady Gaga will win a Filipino Election. So now, rivals set their minds on  finding ways to conjure negative fame against their opponents. As you can see, Villar the cat, is 'horning' Noynoy to make him look uglier but unfortunately it does the opposite. The dog actually becomes cuter with the peace sign resting on its head. Villar keeps shooting black propaganda which strengthens and collects supporters. Join me in saying, 'karma'.

Recent Surveys in Favor of Sen. Villar.

Villar, Aquino most trusted presidential bets—survey
By Lira Dalangin-Fernandez
INQUIRER.net
(Read article here)

One of the most important surveys held in the Philippines is the census while the surveys for candidate preference is the least helpful, as long as you consider my opinion.

What should this surveys be doing? Of course, to inform candidates about their approval rates.

Why is this important? Candidates seek approval and not political strength and willpower. That should have been obvious if you have read newspapers and watched television at least during the hot months (hot months=24 months before and 2 months after the election).

Is being a presidential survey top lister give you more votes? I'm afraid I believe so. Some people in the Philippines live to be boneless, swaying to every direction the wind or whatever blows. Popular opinions are the safest ones they say.

I also have a theory that those who conducted the survey was a patriot of Philippine media. Too scared of the ads that looked like they were taking over everything stimulating the senses that they agreed to say Villar had approval. So now Villar, the evident top player in terms of campaign materials, can tone down his commercials.

Santa Claus for President!

The royal family of my dream
Philippines

Note to readers: I was writing this entry listening to a mayoral candidate singing in the nearby public gym (which he supposes is related to campaigning) so I have the right to be furious and anti-politics.

We have a new assignment in SocSci which is to write an essay of who you personally will choose to be the leader of your country, dead or alive.

I chose Santa Claus. His principle is priceless. You get presents for being good and nothing for being naughty in contrast with our current political unspoken rules.

(Now I'm listening to 2NE1's Fire with a new set of lyrics: "Iboto nyo si Jed Mabilog!". A version of a mature lady who sounds like she needs some money. Do I smell slavery?)

Manny Villar is scary

Photo from here

Weee! The elections are right around the corner and being a minor, I put two votes on the table, my mother and my father's.

I don't bully my parents, I suggest. And when I suggest, I share my idea and I release an endless chain of supporting facts that exalt my idea, forcing any idea-processing body to finally submit to my claims. I think its legal because if they like there own idea better, they'll stand by it no matter what.

For this election, I'm for Noynoy Aquino and I'm making a a list of what are the pros and cons of voting a neophyte senator as president of our 7,107 islands.

The Cons:
Of course, experience is not on Noynoy's side. He's new to politics as I am to Calculus.
He is silent and De Castro like. After he became senator, nobody knew he was still working.

The Pros:
The pressure of having a legendary last name. No one can do bad things while being Aquino. Its impossible unless you are subhuman.

I'm a little bit scared about Manny Villar. He spends truckloads of money to get his face on every wall, on every TV station, on every webpage (check out YouTube) on every possible platform that can make him famous. After he wins, how can he earn back all those money? He is a millionaire businessman so I'm wondering if his candidacy is an investment where he will get more than he paid for over time.

Elections in the Philippines were patterned after telenovelas so expect drama. I suggest pay-per-view news coverage of Philippine election overseas. Marketed as "24 hour drama, its like Big Brother on a nationwide scale: Philippine Election 2010".
