Iloilo will be soon friendly to earth lovers! A British firm, Global Green Power PLC Corp. (GGPPC), just signed papers to start the construction of Green Power Panay Philippines Inc. along with a Nueva Ecija subsidiary.
The Green Power Panay Philippines Inc. will be a power plant generating about 17.5 Megawatts using biomass, earth-friendly technology. Agricultural wastes such as rice husks, sugar cane residue and rice straws will be loaded to the future plant and voila, out comes electricity! The power plants will be great news to mother earth as it complies to nature-friendly standards. The plants will be constructed at Mina, Iloilo. Excited?
Dear Leo,
ReplyDeleteThank-you, and it is a great pleasure to see the younger generation of Iloilo support Renewable Energy.
I am David de Montaigne of Global Green Power PLC Corporation, the company developing the Green Power Panay Philippines Inc., 17.5 Megawatt biomass power plant.
The power plant, as you have stated, will use agricultural wastes as an alternative fuel. These wastes are currently either burnt in the field or left to rot both causing environmental damage through the formation of either Carbon Dioxide or Methane that contributes to Global Warming.
As our company purchases these wastes from local farmers this significantly alleviates poverty within the community.
Our company is very proud to be working in Iloilo and we have been welcomed and supported by great people throughout the community. Mayor Grabbato of the Municipality of Mina and his team as well as Congressman Defensor and PBM Richard Garin have all played significant rolls in enabling our development within Panay.
Again, thank you for your kind words and I hope to meet you in Iloilo soon. please do not hesitate to email me to keep abreast of our project: david@global-green-power.com.
kind regards,
David de Montaigne,
President,
