Cooking Inventions

We had an activity in Filipino 3 just last week and the judges were the teachers.

We had to come up with an innovative new recipe which can be edible or at least safe for ingestion. Me and my group came up with “The Cheesy Egg of Lobres (our group mate)” or in Filipino “Ang Makesong Itlog ni Lobres”. It was basically egg with cheese and canned mushroom in small proportions.

With the recipe should come an instructional video (which I think we rocked) and a nice food presentation. Too bad I can’t share the video on YouTube. I rendered it as HD and it would take forever to upload the file. Nobody would want to see it anyway.

Our group of all boys won third. The first prize went to the group who made taco out of loaf bread. They had a really good presentation as you can see below:

Our group also won a special award which name was a euphemism for ‘Cheapest Dish’.

Here our some of the other contestants:DSC_2202_800x531

Just a postscript: We are science scholars and culinary prowess was not a requirement for the entrance exams. The teachers are okay and the photos are all of my property. Don’t dare copy them or you’ll rot in hell.
