We have a new lesson in Health and its sex. Doesn't sex remind you of population? And solely because of the ability of the verb/noun/?adjective (eg. you look like sex)? sex to remind me of population - I'm going to blog about it. (FYI: I'm really not comfortable in the sex education class. I'm still a traditional conservative Filipino.)
The current population of the Philippines is 90, 348, 437 (according to them). If my memory serves me right, it was 80million back in elementary. And if you were born in the year 1960, there were only 27, 057, 135 of your kind. Our population increased by more than 3 times in only half a century. That is so amazing. Darwin, in his book "The Origin of Species (which was second to the Bible in influence)", stated that the kind that can create the most children(that are fertile) are most likely to survive natural selection. With this, our race rocks.
I also have noticed that toys that themed with childcare are also on top. Has any of you heard of Baby Alive or the new game from Nintendo where you take care of digital babies? The toy and gaming industry is really preparing the girls for a baby boom. How about murder and mass slaughter games for boys? Maybe the same industry is planning to educate the next generation on barbaric population control methods.
Do you know about the rickshaw? Its a cart where people ride and where a another man pulls it for a living. Its in China, a country which always rings a population bell in my population-ally conscious mind. We modified it and improved it by the use of common Physics. The result? Our very own padyak or what I call 'trisikad'.
